I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown,
for going out, I found, was really going in. ~ John Muir
You have made known to me the path of life;
You will fill me with joy in Your Presence,
with eternal pleasures at Your right Hand. ~ Psalm 16:11
The Lord is my Shepherd,
I shall not be in want…
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake… ~ Psalm 23:1a, 3
Today I stand quiet
Wanting only to listen,
To hear beyond words
with a heart of compassion and mercy,
To love deeply and offer grace
Freely. ~ Cindee Snider Re

Enjoy your time, “in” Him.
Great Picture and message.
I love to see quotes by brilliant writers such as Cindee Snider Re. Beautifully said. Beautiful thoughts.
We do need the quiet. I envy John Muir the option of staying out until sunset…Beautiful words, Cindee.
I love the old ‘rugged’ trees and the verses are wonderful.
There is no greater joy than what is found in quiet time with our Lord digesting his word of life!
just beautiful
Your picture reminds me of my grandparents’ farm and the many happy hours I spent wandering there as a little girl. Wonderful memories!

Beautiful picture and verse connection! I love the woods! The path of God can be made known in its stillness.
Beautiful, Cindee! I love pictures of pathways through the woods – they call out, “Come away with Me.” Thanks so much.
In the going out is the going in.
In the going in is the going out.
Oh how I want to hear beyond the words, too.
I could spend a few afternoon hours on that path…
To stand quiet… to find a path and quietly walk on it, looking and listening… to open my heart to my Lord minute-by-minute, day-by-day… absolutely necessary to grow and serve and abide in Him.
