Mere color, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways. ~ Oscar Wilde
I painted the picture, and in the colors the rhythm of the music quivers.
I painted the colors I saw. ~ Edvard Munch
Beauty seen is never lost, God’s colors are all fast. ~ John Greenleaf Wittier
The Heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of His Hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
~ Psalm 19:1-2
Could it be that joy is color?
The spectrum of Love ignited,
Spilled across creation,
A glimpse of God’s indescribable glory?

Thank you so much for stopping by Leaving A Legacy today. I love your beautiful pictures. The colors are amazing. Simply stunning. You picked perfect quotes to go along with them.
“joy is color.” yes, I believe that it truly is. I can sense it as I see His beauty displayed in the world.
Can’t catch my breath here. Glorious color! Unspeakable joy!
Such joy in all the wonderful colors…Made me smile!
I often think of emotions in terms of color. Anger is red. Happiness is yellow or orange. Fear is dark. But joy? I can’t ever find just the right color for joy. I wonder if the colors of heaven will be joy?
How beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful. Experiencing joy is living in color.
I love these pictures, pretty lights and fantastic colors, very good abstractions, wonderful. Greetings.
Oh my! Gorgeous, gorgeous joy-colors here! Can you share what your photo-subject was? Major WOW-factor.

Hi Jennifer, I was shooting sunlight through colored glass. A few weeks ago, I decided to try to capture color without definitive shape. I started with a red vase and slowly borrowed and collected glass with “movement” in it, anything that would refract light in an interesting way. The results have both surprised and delighted me. I think I may be on this “Quest for Color” just a little while longer.
Truly gorgeous. Thanks for sharing these details with me. I’m so intrigued by your work.
One of the main things, besides Father and Jesus, I’m looking forward to in and on the way to Heaven is seeing the colors of the planets and glorious brightness. When I read Revelation and it lists all the beautiful stones that will be in the City, the wonderful huge pearls that will be the door/gateway, all I can do is grin in my heart. Expect it will be one stunning eternal life.
