I AM is Holy Ground

PresenceHolyGround

I needed to stand
where she’d stood,

where the arms of God
had held her fast

and would not
let her go
.

Needed to stand
in the still

of that space —
the silence

of exquisite
grace —

slanting light
into my soul,

Take off your shoes,
I’m here

in every heartbeat,
every blade of grass,

every breath and sound
for where I AM

is Holy Ground.

  2. I need “to stand in the still of that space – the silence of exquisite
grace –” Even in the busy-ness of days and lives, there is a space of stillness and silence of exquisite grace. It’s one of God’s gifts and I am SO VERY GRATEFUL! This is beautifully written. Thank you.

  5. Yep. The silence of exquisite grace.

Sometimes, I’m so busy listening for the clanging cymbals and the loud, booming voices that I miss it. Right there in the silence.

  7. Cindee, it takes real talent to write something with such strong emotion and yet meditative, flowing words. Beautiful!
